Summer is almost over

Here they are. Born to be wild! Of course, compliments of Aunt Nan. Yes, she has a Harley! Seems fun in theory, but I like my music and climate control too much to do the motorcycle thing.

How time flies when your having fun! Especially this summer! With the kids being 3 & 5 now, it has been much easier to plan fun filled days in the sun & at the pool! I will be starting back to school in 1 week, so I only have a few more days of summer with my kids and hubby to savior and sleeping in (I'm a mom of 2, who am I kidding). Here are some pictures of some of our activities for this past month.

Here are the kids having fun dancing to the music at the Armstrong's pool on the 4th! I think it was Fergie "Glamorous." Kee and K love that song! They don't aways get the spelling right like Fergie, but it is funny!

Kee's first time with Sparklers! This is one of my favorite childhood memories. It wouldn't be the 4th without them!

My kids absolutely love the zoo! We had a zoo pass & was able to go 3 times over the course of this year! It was very hot this particular day, but the elephants were out. You can't miss the butt shot behind J's head! I'm glad the elephant wasn't too close, if you know what I mean!

One of my favorite stories of this summer was when we visited Gatlinburg, TN at the Park Vista Hotel. J sometimes has funny names for things, and hotel was one he definitely made his own. He told me that he liked staying at the Holytel. I thought this was too cute! Here he is sitting with a big stuffed bear just outside the conference area before you get the the indoor pool. D's school system sent several teachers to a conference at the Park Vista. The kids and I went up the last two nights to join him. Now Kee is dying to go back. We visited Dollywood for the second time and Splash Country the last day with our friends the Armstrongs.

Our kid's first trip to Dollywood back in June. It was Kids' Fest, which they throughly enjoyed! Here they are with, I think, Hank the Cowdog. They really enjoyed Dolly's stage version of The Little Engine That Could ! Kee still talks about the play and remembers a song about rainbows a month later. Maybe she has a thing for plays. I guess she would come by that honestly! See more Dollywood pics below.

Here the kids are with the cast from The Little Engine That Could.
